RESORT ASSISTANT MANAGER 

The Resort Assistant Manager is a key leader within our Front Office team, responsible for supervising Front Desk operations during assigned shifts while ensuring exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure. This position serves as a primary point of contact for guests, supports and mentors Front Desk team members, and acts as a leader on duty to ensure the safety, security, satisfaction, and wellbeing of both guests and employees.  

 

This role combines operational leadership with hands-on guest engagement, requiring a passion for hospitality, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering world-class service. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Lead and support Front Desk operations during assigned shifts. 

• Welcome, register, and assist guests throughout their stay while ensuring personalized and memorable experiences. 

• Coach, motivate, and provide guidance to Front Desk Receptionists and Rooms Controllers. 

• Coordinate arrivals, departures, room assignments, and special guest requests. 

• Review daily arrivals and ensure proper handling of VIP, return, and group guests. 

• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. 

• Ensure compliance with financial, billing, cash handling, and credit procedures. 

• Perform guest check-in and check-out transactions accurately and efficiently. 

• Respond to guest inquiries regarding resort services, amenities, activities, and local recommendations. 

• Utilize hotel systems to manage reservations, room blocking, reporting, and guest information. 

• Act as a leader on duty, responding appropriately to emergency and safety situations when senior leaders are unavailable. 

• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Services, Reservations, and other resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. 

WHAT TO BRING 

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Minimum two years of hotel leadership or management experience, preferably within Front Office operations. 

• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards and guest service excellence. 

• Knowledge of Front Desk operations, reservations systems, and hotel technology platforms. 

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong financial awareness and attention to detail. 

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
