Strasburg, OH | Frac Sand Mining & Processing | Rotating Shifts

From the control room, you see the whole plant at once and you are the first to know when something starts drifting. We are looking for someone calm and hard to rattle, with control room or processing plant experience in mining, oil and gas, or a related industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run and monitor plant equipment through DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
- Adjust process settings to keep production and product quality on spec.
- Watch alarms, trends, and camera feeds, and respond quickly to upsets.
- Work with field operators and maintenance to troubleshoot problems.
- Log production data and downtime, and keep shift leads informed.
SCHEDULE
- Rotating shifts supporting continuous plant operations
- Nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
PAY & BENEFITS
- $25 - $27 per hour, based on experience

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of how processing equipment operates.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage several systems at once.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and clear communication by radio and in person.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in a plant control room, such as mining, processing, oil and gas, or a related industry.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA, DCS, or PLC control systems.
- Associate degree or technical certification.
- Frac sand mining or bulk materials processing experience.
- OSHA or MSHA safety training or certifications.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures for sand products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders throughout the shift.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and loud noise.
- Essential job functions performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
