Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing outpatient care to GI patients primarily UHealth Sole Mia and UHT (Procedures) [9 half days]. He/she will provide outpatient clinical (5 sessions) and endoscopic services (4 sessions) weekly, as well as inpatient care and teaching on inpatients at Uhealth Towers and Jackson Memorial Hospital approximately 2 weeks per year. Staff physician will be engaged in teaching and evaluation of GI fellows as appropriate.
Qualifications:
MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
Board Certification in Gastroenterology (or board eligible)
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
Valid DEA license
Active ACLS and BLS Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures credentialled for including sedation.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
Valid DEA licensure
