Department Overview
CMA’s purpose is to broaden ING Wholesale Banking’s relevance in the moments that matter most for clients: strategic transactions, financing events, capital decisions and risk considerations. By expanding advisory and event-driven financing capabilities, CMA strengthens ING’s overall client value proposition, supports more efficient use of capital and helps drive fee-based revenue.
CMA elevates ING’s role in strategic, board-level client engagement. It brings together capital markets expertise, advisory capabilities and event-driven financing to help clients with pivotal decisions and transactions. CMA works alongside Sectors, Lending, Transaction Services and Financial Markets to move the client dialogue from tactical product support to trusted advice with senior decision-makers, including CFOs, CEOs and boards.
Job Specification
Lead the pillar within the CMA business management team related to our workforce and translating business priorities into structured fte plans, high-quality data infrastructure, actionable insights, and leadership-ready talent and people reporting, with key responsibilities as follows:
Keep track of KPIs & performance, FTEs and organisational changes Make sure the HR data foundation we use for our analytics is consistent and properly governed, with clear ownership and follow-up where data is missing but needed Connect people data with Finance data and cost centre structures so people reporting, planning and decision-making all work from the same view. Turn data into practical insight for organisational design, long-term planning and location decisions. Build simple, useful dashboards and reporting so that we can see the key metrics, risks and actions without needing to chase. Bring more data and evidence into people decisions, especially fte management, location management etc. Partner with ECG staffers and ECG managers to support successful delivery of the ECG programme, ensuring consistency, clear ownership and broadly uniform application across all locations. Support strategic business reviews with practical insight like capability knowledge, leadership, culture, people risks and integration considerations. Work closely with CMA MT members, BMs, HR, Finance, Data Protection, second line, GRDM and product/regional leads to unblock issues and keep actions moving.
Profile
A strong fit would be someone who combines data analytics skills, data confidence, business judgement and practical delivery. They should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, bringing structure to complex topics and turning people data into clear actions.
Qualification/Education
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in data, people analytics or a related field. Additional project management qualifications would be helpful.

Structured, curious, discreet and pragmatic. Strong attention to detail, good judgement, confident communication, stakeholder sensitivity and the ability to keep multiple actions moving without losing sight of the bigger picture.
