We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and participate in E-Verify.
About this Role
Flare Construction has been building heavy civil and energy infrastructure since 1976. Today, as part of Quanta Services, we bring the backing of a Fortune 500 company to projects that still run on the same principles we started with: safety, craftsmanship, and doing right by the people on the crew.
We're hiring a Project Manager for our Gas Division, and we're open to Level I, II, or III depending on your experience. This is one of the most in-demand roles on our team right now, and for good reason: it's a role where the work is real, the ownership is yours to earn, and the path forward is clear.
What You'll Do
You'll manage high-pressure gas pipeline and facility construction projects from the ground up, working directly with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and compliant every step of the way. Specifically, you'll:
- Manage or support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout
- Build and maintain schedules, budgets, work plans, and deliverables
- Coordinate with Gas Superintendents and Foremen on daily execution and production targets
- Track DOT Part 192/195 compliance, OQ documentation, and QA/QC records
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
- Visit job sites regularly and stay connected to the work in the field
- Help set the tone for a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
The scope grows with your level. Level I Project Managers build their foundation supporting senior PMs. Level II PMs run small to mid-size projects independently. Level III PMs lead complex, multi-phase work and mentor the PMs coming up behind them. Wherever you land, you'll have real ownership from day one.
What You'll Bring
Level I
1-3 years of construction or project coordination experience, gas or civil background preferred. Familiarity with estimating and scheduling. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but hands-on field or military experience counts just as much.
Level II
3-7 years of progressive project management experience, with a track record of independently running mid-size projects.
Level III
7+ years managing complex, high-value construction projects, with proven client relationship and financial management experience.
Across all levels, OSHA 30 is preferred and familiarity with DOT Part 192/195 and PHMSA regulations is a strong plus. A valid driver's license is required.
What You'll Get
Gas construction isn't going anywhere, and the people who know how to build and maintain this infrastructure safely and well are in short supply. That means job security, a clear runway for growth, and work that matters. Here's what else you'll get:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off
- Life insurance and short/long-term disability coverage
- Employee Assistance Program
- Vehicle allowance or company vehicle, per policy
