  • Part time (0.4 FTE, 14 hours per week), 12-months fixed term

  • Develop specialist expertise in innovative substance use and mental health treatment

  • Base Salary HEO7 $117,133 - $127,610 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative, evidence-based mental health interventions for people experiencing PTSD and alcohol-related problems. In this role, you will provide specialised psychological assessment and treatment, including exposure therapy and MDMA-assisted therapy, while contributing to research activities and clinical excellence. Working closely with researchers, clinicians and healthcare practitioners, your work will help advance mental health treatment outcomes and support the translation of research into practice.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work closely with clients, healthcare practitioners and multidisciplinary team members to optimise client care and treatment outcomes

  • deliver exposure-based therapy to individuals experiencing PTSD and alcohol-related problems

  • provide MDMA-assisted therapy in accordance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines

  • conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning

  • develop and review individual and program-wide risk management strategies

  • contribute to research, clinical training, supervision and educational activities within the team

About you

  • a master's degree in clinical psychology, or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and experience

  • membership of the Australian Psychological Society and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, Australian Association of Social Workers or equivalent professional accreditation

  • demonstrated experience delivering treatment and assessment in mental health settings, particularly with clients experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression or related conditions

  • experience delivering cognitive behavioural therapy

  • experience working within clinical research environments and complying with Good Clinical Practice and relevant regulatory requirements

  • experience contributing to mental health research, clinical supervision and training activities
