At Lemon Platypus, we help small and medium-sized businesses take the hassle out of HR systems — from choosing the right tools and setting them up properly, to providing ongoing support when it's needed. We work with platforms like HiBob, Employment Hero, and Rippling, and we're proud to be a certified HiBob implementation partner. We're a small, close-knit team, and we care about doing this properly: no cutting corners, no leaving clients to figure it out on their own.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Project Manager to bring structure and momentum to how we deliver HR systems implementations for our clients. You'll be the person keeping multiple projects on track at once — clear on where each one stands, what's coming next, and what needs to happen to get there. This is a hands-on role: you won't just be reporting on progress, you'll be driving it.

What You'll Be Doing

Systems & Process Oversight

Keeping a clear, up-to-date view of every implementation project we're running or planning

Helping us document and continually improve how we run implementations — from discovery through to go-live and hypercare

Sequencing projects sensibly so our team's time and our clients' expectations are always aligned

Partner & Vendor Coordination

Communicating milestones clearly to the partners and vendors involved in each project

Following through on the actions that come out of those conversations — system updates, configuration changes, approvals, whatever's needed

Chasing outstanding items so they don't quietly become blockers

Team Capacity

Keeping an eye on who's working on what across the team, and flagging early if something's going to be a stretch

Helping us plan resource sensibly across concurrent projects

Project Controls

Making sure every project starts with a proper plan, clear scope, and defined success criteria

Keeping the basics in place — status updates, risk logs, change control — and making sure they're actually used, not just written down

Reporting on how things are going, honestly and clearly, so nothing comes as a surprise

What We're Looking For

Solid project management experience, ideally across multiple concurrent workstreams

Comfortable working directly with external partners and vendors, not just internal teams

Naturally organised — you like things written down and tracked, not just remembered

Experience in HR systems/HRIS projects is a big plus, but not essential if you've got strong transferable PM experience

Clear communicator, calm under pressure, good at chasing without being a nag
