Job Description Summary
As P&B & HR Operations Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end quality of HR Operations and Payroll & Benefits administration processes in the countries.As P&B & HR Operations Leader you will manage a team of HR Operations and P&B specialists and provide compliant wing-to-wing process delivery, monitoring KPIs and ensuring they are met on team and individual levels and that regular operational reviews are held with relevant stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement and simplification respective to own processes and responsibilities.
This is a strategic role responsible for supporting the transformation of our HR Operations & P&B services.
This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholder to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement. You will also play a liaison role between people Operations center / site teams, HR Partners, HR COE’s, GMS and P&B team.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Partner across the Vernova People Ops team to help design a future state organization that is positioned to deliver a seamless service experience. Ensure the team has the resources necessary to perform their job responsibilities.
- Lead People Operations processes and services including for GE Vernova employees who are based in the country/location under your responsibility
- Lead a team that designs onboarding, offboarding and job change programs and policies (in compliance with federal/ state requirements)
- Lead Payroll & Benefits processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with relevant legal and GE Vernova policy requirements
- Manage 3rd Party Payroll and Time providers to ensure seamless, compliant, and high-quality Payroll & Time services
- Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE Vernova policy requirements
- Work closely with respective HR Business Partners for dedicated GE Vernova location and cooperate with senior experts, service delivery and regional product delivery leaders.
- Build, lead & develop a high-performing team through engaged and passionate leadership.
- Instill a culture of operational excellence and continuous process improvement / LEAN mindset., proactively identifying processes for improvement and driving change as well as responding to business requirements.
- Produce and deliver required employee communications, champion employee experience, manage seamless service experience for tier 2 escalations
- Develop and monitor: Transaction Risk Controls and KPIs and vendor operational metrics monitoring maintained through Daily Management and MOR routines
- Operations team management, coaching, performance review, resource management, priority setting
- Foster a “one team” environment with your team members as you mentor and coach them to grow their impact and collaboration within the business.
- Create a strategic partnership with key outsourced suppliers to drive strong performance and collaboration
- Manage and hold vendors accountable to contractual and operational targets in the workforce admin/ lifecycle space
- Have cultural awareness & sensitivity to flex style to suit differing cultural norms.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement with assigned processes/country and work closely with other People Operations Leaders, HR & Business Leaders and Process Improvement resources to understand root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Measure end-customer satisfaction through weekly evaluation, develop action plan to mitigate any operational risks or to resolve escalated issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 5 years of professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in HR Operations/Service-oriented environment managing multiple sites/locations within Middle East Region, including partnership with third parties.
- Travel may be required, as needed, to support the team and customers within the region & occasionally further afield
- To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing work environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries, with comfort and efficiency
- Knowledge of Middle East country operations and local labor regulations, confidentiality & controllership mindset.
- English knowledge both verbal and written
Desired Characteristics
- Operational experience in payroll, benefits or workforce admin/ lifecycle delivery
- Experience working with outsourced providers
- Arabic language fluency
- Experience in Lean management
- Solid understanding of applicable regional legislative programs/processes
- Demonstrated experience in making strategic decisions, and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders

- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and present the creative/collaborative solutions in partnership with plan owners.
