As RX&BIO BU Head, you will lead, manage and develop the performance of the BU's current and future product portfolio, deliver sales and profits within agreed budgets in alignment with annual targets. Lead and develop a high-performing promo and marketing team and build effective and enduring business relationships with key customers/ stakeholders.
Major Accountabilities
Accountable for delivering commercial performance of the RX & BIO business unit, including but not limited to sales, market share and profitability
As a member of the local Executive Committee, contribute to the company's overall policy and strategic direction.
Define, develop and implement short, medium and long-term plans integrating marketing, sales, commercial excellence, medical strategies in line with corporate strategy to drive growth to deliver P&L and market share targets
Monitor market trends, competitor dynamics, sales and product performance, conduct regular reviews against plan and take corrective actions as required
Effectively manage product life cycles, successfully launch indication extensions and new products ensuring seamless cross-functional and (as applicable) cross-divisional collaboration
Drive biosimilar and specialty product access and uptake in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Establish and manage effective strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Follow Good Practices (GxP), corporate policies, procedures, and local law
Lead, motivate, and develop the division team to achieve the required performance levels in line with company objectives, values, and competencies.
Drive talent acquisition and development processes, succession planning, retention plans, and talent export/rotation across functions and locations within RX & BIO.
Lead and develop direct reports in accountability, ownership, and leadership through objective setting, monitoring execution, and providing appropriate resources
Undertake confidentiality requirements
Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with Sandoz’ standards and local law / requirements
Continuously improve and share knowledge

Effective team management (high engagement, motivation, commitment of team members as measured by OurVoice survey, talent and capability development, succession planning, team turnover, etc.)

Education and Qualifications
University degree
Postgraduate degree – preferred
Languages
Romanian – preferred
English – fluent
Essential Requirements:
More than 5 years of successful management experience in the pharmaceutical industry in local / regional and/or central roles.
Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector, including ethical, legal, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
Strong expertise in business development, marketing, sales processes, and management.
Demonstrated leadership of sizable P&Ls, with strong commercial acumen in pricing, forecasting and profitability optimization.
Proven track record in both sales leadership and marketing/brand management, including responsibility for brand strategy, portfolio planning.
Strong capability in strategic and long‑range commercial planning, supported by business analysis skills and experience shaping channel strategies and customer growth plans.
Significant experience leading high‑performing field and head‑office teams, with strong people leadership capabilities in coaching, talent development, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Ability to build and manage influential relationships with senior stakeholders, supported by strong negotiation and external engagement skills.
High standards of integrity, governance, and compliance, with a values‑driven approach to decision‑making and a commitment to ethical commercial practice.

Compensation Structure & Criteria:
Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
Job location: Bucharest, Romania
Monthly base salary: determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company and market salary ranges
Variable compensation: Short term incentive
