Job Overview
Our client is a leading professional institution recognized for excellence and innovation. They are seeking an experienced Head of ICT to lead the organization's technology strategy, oversee ICT operations, drive digital transformation, and ensure secure, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an IT strategy that supports the corporate goals of CA Sri Lanka.
- Provide leadership for all digitalisation projects initiated by the institute.
- Ensure smooth operations in all ICT-related aspects.
- Be responsible for functional budget planning and control, including project proposal evaluations.
- Ensure the security, availability, and accountability of ICT services and data.
- Prepare departmental KPIs and align annual budgets accordingly while achieving the agreed-upon KPIs.
- Mentor the ICT team and motivate them to be dynamic and develop out-of-the-box solutions.
- Ensure that the necessary structure is in place to deliver functional objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSc in IT, Computer Science, or Network Engineering from a recognised university, as well as an MSc or MBA from a recognised university.
- Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in leading a medium-sized IT team.
- Hands-on experience in managing data centres, including handling cloud-based infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, and network-related equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Previous experience with digitalisation projects will be an added advantage.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership qualities.
