Minimum: $77,308.00 - Maximum: $77,308.00 Annually

Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Health Program Coordinator to work within the Office of Health Equity and Human Rights Office of the Deputy Commissioner. The incumbent will join its dynamic, team environment with a dedicated focus on serving various populations across New York.  

The Senior Health Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and monitoring Office of Health Equity and Human Rights (OHEHR) Office of the Deputy Commissioner contracts. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to contractors serving Tribal Nations, Native and Indigenous, and other prioritized populations; maintain communication with contractors regarding program requirements; assess provider performance, track and contribute toward monitoring program outcomes and quality improvement activities; contribute toward developing workplans while coordinating technical assistance to ensure compliance with program standards and goals. The incumbent will provide support in the creation of contractor budget modifications, expenditure plans, and make suggestions for using unexpended dollars to maximize available resources. The incumbent will review monthly/quarterly narrative reports and monthly data reports; prepare monitoring, narrative, and statistical reports; and process invoices for assigned contractors.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the development of a public health or human services programs

  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of a public health or human services programs

  • Experience working with Tribal Nations, Native and Indigenous Populations

  • Experience facilitating the provision of technical assistance to contractors

  • Experience with technical writing and other professional communication

  • Experience with problem solving and suggesting corrective action strategies

  • Experience managing contractual relationships with service providers, programs, and vendors.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel up to 10% of the time will be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.

Work Location Expectations

At HRI, the nature of hybrid and onsite work varies by position. Some roles require full onsite presence, while others allow a hybrid schedule. Managers determine the specific telecommuting expectations for each role based on operational needs and job responsibilities. If designated as hybrid, you will divide your time between working remotely and reporting onsite. Regardless of telecommuting status, all HRI employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their official work location and must reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Vermont.
