The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to internal service calls and assisting in maintaining all hotel facilities in optimal operating condition by carrying out preventive maintenance and repairs in the plant room and throughout the property, including heating, electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, and refrigeration. The position also involves learning various technical computer systems and interacting with guests.
What you will do
- Demonstrate proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and drywall installation as part of daily maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors as part of a coordinated team.
- Respond to guest calls related to maintenance issues in guest rooms, room equipment, and public areas.
- Take appropriate action in emergency situations, such as fires or electrical power failures.
- Clean all maintenance work areas, including grease spills and plumbing leaks, and help maintain an organized department.
What you bring
- Excellent communication skill;
- strong problem-solving abilities;
- The ability to work independently and efficiently is essential;
- Should have a minimum of 2 years of technical experience or hold a Training Certificate/Advanced Technical Diploma in a technical field;
- Portuguese fluency is required and English proficiency is recommended but not required;
- Flexibility with their schedule and available to work weekends and public holidays
