The long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an immediate opening for an Accounting Supervisor. This dynamic position is designed to cultivate a diverse finance experience. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, manage a team of accountants and clerks, and ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including standard cost/variance analysis, inventory transactions, and operations analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Financial, operational, and statistical reporting in OneStream.
• Developing and enhancing data analysis/reporting capabilities.
• CapEx planning and budgeting.
• Assist with the month-end review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with operating budget and analysis.
• Validate division-wide compliance with implemented policies and procedures and develop/enhance accounting policies and procedures.
• Facilitate coordination with internal and external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant in active status (or working towards certification).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Internal or external audit experience preferred.
• Relevant core competencies required: time management, highly organized, project management and multi-tasking, applying effective analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with excellent people skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of OneStream, Dynamics 365, and Jet Reports preferred.
• Dedication to details and ensuring accuracy of all work products.
• Exceptional and proven verbal and written communication skills, with all levels of management.
• Proficient with the use of EXCEL (required) and Power BI (preferred).
