Description

Within KYC it is our purpose to detect and prevent financial crime. Throughout the life cycle of the customer, we ensure the right measures and monitoring are in place to comply with anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and tax evasion rules and legislation that will protect both our customers and ING. This includes customer onboarding, periodic and event driven reviews, name screening, pre-transaction screening and transaction monitoring.

By providing policies, standards, process designs and tooling, the KYC Tribe contributes to ING’s societal role as gatekeeper to safeguard our financial infrastructure against financial crime.

As Product Lead Transaction Monitoring (TM), you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the Products and processes of TM. This position is based in Amsterdam.

The team

You report to the Product Area Lead (PAL) of the Transaction Monitoring area and work closely together with the PAL to ensure a good functioning TM Area within the KYC Services Tribe.

You will align closely with other leads and stakeholders, particularly in Global, in the other KYC areas and in the TM Hub(s) abroad, to jointly deliver the necessary services and prioritise the work within your Product.

We operate in an Agile setting, and as Product Lead we expect you to support and further enhance our Way of Working. We also expect you to be a partner for our Tech organisation.

Roles and responsibilities

As Product Lead Transaction Monitoring, you will:

  • Prioritise work and ensure timely refinements.

  • Look outside-in to the TM process, taking market, regulatory and technological developments into account.

  • Take ownership of the Products and processes of TM, from refinement of new work to delivery and operations, incident management and monitoring of key metrics.

  • Oversee alert definitions, threshold setting and validation of generated alerts against ING's Risk Appetite.

  • Ensure a stable and compliant service for operations.

  • Act as business asset owner, working closely with IT and jointly responsible for the process and Product lifecycle.

  • Keep business and IT risks within the risk appetite of your Product.

  • Collaborate with Global KYC on implementation and development of global TM solutions and ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness throughout the wider ING KYC organisation.

  • Collaborate with TM Hub(s) abroad on TM Policies, Instructions and RAS (timelines and quality).

  • Collaborate with other KYC Services Areas to jointly meet overall KYC Services Tribe objectives.

  • Improve the internal customer experience.

  • Lead and coach the squads within your Product group by providing strategic direction and coaching on the job.

  • Manage stakeholders around the Product and define the Product roadmap.

  • Act as people manager for the Data Analysts and Process Design & Control Specialists in your team, including mastery development.

  • Safeguard compliance of your Product towards relevant regulations (FEC, FATCA, CRS, GDPR etc.) through alignment with Compliance/MLRO, IRM and ORM.

  • Hire, manage and develop people in your team, while actively supporting employee well-being, engagement and craftsmanship.

How to succeed

We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.
