## What you’ll do

As a Senior Big Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and business deployment of advanced analytics and Big Data solutions that drive customer value, commercial performance, and strategic decision making across Vodafone Business.

You will act as the end-to-end owner of analytical initiatives, translating business challenges into scalable analytical solutions while engaging directly with stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.

• Own analytical initiatives from ideation and business case definition through development, deployment, adoption, and performance monitoring
• Lead the design and implementation of primarily Big Data analytics, including also Machine Learning, predictive analytics, and customer intelligence solutions
• Translate complex business requirements into analytical frameworks and data products with measurable commercial impact
• Act as the primary point of contact for Vodafone Enterprise customers, engaging directly to understand client needs, requirements and opportunities for value creation
• Manage stakeholder alignment throughout project lifecycles, ensuring clear prioritization, communication, and delivery expectations
• Present analytical findings, recommendations, and strategies to senior management and business leaders
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, sharing best practices and promoting analytical excellence

## Who you are

• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect analytical outputs to business outcomes
• Proven experience leading complex analytical projects and coordinating cross-functional delivery teams
• Own all technical aspects of Big Data projects, able to both deep dive into specific solutions and further develop them
• Strong internal & external stakeholder management and influencing skills at multiple organizational levels
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a simple and compelling manner
• Experience engaging directly with customers and translating customer needs into analytical solutions
• Excellent project ownership skills with high accountability for delivery and outcomes
• Strong presentation, storytelling, and executive communication capabilities
• Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives forward

Technical / Professional Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, or Big Data environments
• Proven track record of delivering analytical solutions from concept to production deployment
• Strong programming skills in Python, Pyspark and SQL
• Strong expertise in working with large-scale datasets and cloud environments
• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks, advanced analytical techniques and visualization platforms
• Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• Experience managing analytical initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and business functions
• Experience in Telecommunications and/ or geolocation data will be considered a strong advantage
