Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Information Security Officer (TISO) to execute and support the operationalisation of security frameworks and act as the primary liaison between the governance (led by an intergroup CISO) and execution teams (provided by a third-party) - supporting the implementation of security changes across the organisation as directed by the CISO. As this role is early in its maturity, the TISO may be required to cover some of the hands-on technical execution of security controls and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security frameworks, guidelines, and processes as defined by the CISO, ensuring their effective execution.
• Act as the bridge between Security leadership and operational teams, facilitating communication, alignment, and feedback on security matters.
• Support and execute security changes, including new controls, process improvements, and technology deployments, in line with the direction set by the CISO.
• Assist in monitoring adherence to security policies, standards and regulatory requirements, escalating issues to the CISO as required.
• Maintain technical documentation of security processes, incidents, and changes; and provide reports as requested by the CISO.
• Execute, support and escalate security activities, referring decisions and improvements to the CISO.
• Support the response to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as directed by the CISO.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to support security operations, referring decisions to the CISO.
• Deploy and maintain technical security controls in line with frameworks and standards set by CISO.
• Execute security change initiatives, including system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure technical requirements are understood and met.
• Identify and propose technical improvements to enhance security effectiveness with decisions anchored explicitly with the CISO.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in operational security roles, particularly within complex, multi-country environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST), compliance obligations, and risk management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge governance and operational teams, ideally in an international setting.
• Proven experience executing security changes, supporting continuous improvement, and delivering on strategic security objectives as directed by a CISO.
• Practical expertise in deploying and maintaining technical security controls, responding to incidents, and managing vulnerabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of current security technologies, best practices, and effective solutions for complex security challenges.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks and propose effective security solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders and producing clear, concise reports.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively across diverse teams and geographical locations.
