Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Part Time | University Place, WA | 2027

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time, school-based position in University Place, Washington, starting January 2027 after winter break. This position primarily supports students at the primary level. Join a collaborative school team and help young learners build communication skills that support learning, confidence, and connection!

Job Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized speech-language goals
• Use developmentally appropriate activities to support communication and student engagement
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate service documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support communication across school routines
• Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning
• Recommend strategies and accommodations that support students’ access to instruction and classroom participation

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Washington State SLP license
• Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in speech-language pathology
• Experience supporting primary or elementary students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage service schedules, documentation, and evaluation timelines
• Availability to begin after winter break in January 2027 and work a 0.5 FTE schedule
• Ability to complete required district onboarding and background checks
