Role summary:
The (USA) Staff, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security, plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure to support organizational objectives. This position requires expertise in security controls, risk management frameworks, and automation to enhance infrastructure security and scalability. The role involves continuous integration and delivery practices, configuration management, and identity and access management to ensure robust security engineering. The engineer will collaborate across teams to drive observability and resilience within systems, contributing to the protection and integrity of enterprise information assets.
About the team:
The Identity Platform Team delivers essential identity infrastructure that ensures secure, scalable, and resilient access across Walmart’s technology ecosystem. The team engineers and manages enterprise identity platforms supporting directory services, authentication, authorization, privileged access, and integrations across workforce, applications, cloud, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include platform engineering, architecture, governance, configuration, and lifecycle management to maintain standardization, security, high availability, and scalability. Utilizing DevOps, automation, APIs, and telemetry, the team enhances reliability, accelerates service delivery, and enforces consistent controls. It also leads efforts in audit readiness, technical governance, resiliency, and platform modernization.
What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure to support organizational cybersecurity objectives.
• Develop and enforce security controls aligned with the Risk Management Framework to mitigate risks.
• Automate configuration management and deployment processes to enhance system scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate on identity and access management solutions, including Okta integration, to safeguard resources.
• Monitor infrastructure observability to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines with embedded security engineering practices.
• Contribute to systems design ensuring robust infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in security controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard IT infrastructure.
• Strong background in cyber security and infrastructure security best practices.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to enhance system reliability.
• Proficiency in configuration management and automation to support scalable systems design.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including Okta implementation.
• Ability to apply security engineering principles to complex systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools to monitor and maintain system health and security.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
