Description
SEI is seeking a senior leader to identify, develop, and commercialize growth opportunities across its wealth and asset management businesses. This individual will connect enterprise strategy, wealth solutions, investment capabilities, technology, product development, distribution, and advisor adoption to create differentiated solutions and accelerate sustainable growth.
The role will initially focus on high-priority strategic initiatives, including the continued evolution of SEI’s wealth solutions and tax-aware investment capabilities. Its scope may expand over time as enterprise priorities and market opportunities evolve.
What You’ll Do:
Drive Enterprise Growth Strategy
- Identify significant opportunities to accelerate growth by leveraging SEI’s scale, technology, investment capabilities, data, and client relationships.
- Translate enterprise priorities into actionable commercial strategies, business cases, operating models, and measurable growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and establish new relationships with wealth managers, broker-dealers, banks, RIAs, wealth platforms, and other strategic partners.
- Connect capabilities across SEI to create integrated solutions that extend beyond individual products or business lines.
- Evaluate market developments, competitive positioning, client needs, and changing advisor expectations to identify areas where SEI can create differentiated value.
- Partner with senior leaders to prioritize, launch, and scale enterprise growth initiatives.
Shape and Commercialize Wealth Solutions
- Help define the evolution of SEI’s wealth solutions strategy by translating investment, technology, and data capabilities into solutions that address meaningful advisor and investor needs.
- Lead the development and commercialization of integrated solutions spanning investment management, tax management, custom models, retirement income, portfolio construction, technology, and advisor workflows.
- Design solutions around advisor adoption, client outcomes, and commercial viability.
- Identify opportunities to embed SEI capabilities into the advisor experience, reducing friction, simplifying decision-making, and increasing utilization.
- Develop commercialization strategies that extend SEI capabilities across multiple distribution channels and strategic relationships.
Advance Tax-Aware and Customized Investing
- Help define SEI’s strategy for tax-aware and customized investment solutions as an increasingly important component of wealth management.
- Connect tax intelligence, custom models, separately managed accounts, direct indexing, asset location, tax harvesting, portfolio construction, and retirement income into a broader household wealth solution.
- Develop scalable approaches to customized models and tax-aware portfolios that serve advisors, enterprise clients, and end investors.
- Identify opportunities to combine SEI’s investment capabilities, technology, data, and household-level intelligence to create differentiated solutions.
- Establish target markets, distribution approaches, commercial models, and economics required to scale these capabilities.
Drive Adoption and Client Outcomes
- Make adoption a core component of solution design and commercialization.
- Ensure new capabilities are intuitive, integrated into advisor workflows, and easy to explain and use with clients.
- Develop approaches to demonstrate measurable client value through dollars, basis points, adoption measures, and other client-relevant outcomes.
- Create recurring proof-of-value mechanisms that help advisors and enterprise clients demonstrate the impact of SEI solutions over time.
- Use adoption data, client feedback, and commercial results to inform product enhancements, cross-sell opportunities, and deeper client relationships.
What We Need From You:
- Significant leadership experience in wealth management, asset management, investment solutions, enterprise strategy, product commercialization, or a related financial-services discipline.
- Demonstrated success identifying growth opportunities and translating them into commercial strategies, scalable solutions, and measurable business results.
- Deep understanding of the wealth management ecosystem, including broker-dealers, banks, RIAs, wealth platforms, advisors, and strategic distribution partners.
- Experience developing or commercializing investment, wealth, technology, data, or platform-based solutions.
- Knowledge of tax-aware investing, separately managed accounts, custom models, direct indexing, portfolio construction, and advisor workflows.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving product, investments, technology, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, risk, and compliance.
- Strong business-case development skills, including market assessment, commercial economics, operating-model design, and measures of success.
- Executive presence and the ability to build alignment and influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
- Strong external relationships and the ability to represent SEI credibly with senior clients and strategic partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree or relevant industry credentials preferred.
