Parts Manager - Orem Mazda

Pay: $60,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience and performance

About the Position

Orem Mazda is looking for a motivated, experienced Parts Manager to lead our parts department. The ideal candidate has automotive parts experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales, manage inventory, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain departmental profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily parts department operations, budgeting, and profitability.
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage parts department employees.
• Maintain inventory levels, control costs, and minimize obsolete parts.
• Develop retail, wholesale, and outside sales opportunities.
• Establish pricing strategies and sales promotions to increase profitability.
• Build strong relationships with customers and other dealership departments.
• Coordinate parts availability with the Service Department to ensure efficient repairs.
• Monitor sales, expenses, inventory, and productivity reports.
• Oversee purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory audits, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, applicable regulations, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of automotive parts department experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Dealertrack experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Some sales experience and the ability to manage a profitable department.
• Professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn the dealership's computer system.
