Role Description:

The Workforce Planning Data Analyst Lead is accountable for leading the Workforce Planning Analytics capability by overseeing workforce analytics, forecasting, reporting, workforce intelligence, and scenario modelling activities across the organization.

The role provides leadership, direction, quality assurance, and prioritization for the Workforce Planning Data Analyst team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality workforce insights that support strategic workforce planning, operational decision making, workforce optimization, and business performance.

The Workforce Planning Data Analyst Lead will establish workforce analytics standards, reporting methodologies, governance practices, and analytical frameworks while partnering with Workforce Planning leaders, business stakeholders, Talent Acquisition, Finance, People teams, and Technology teams to drive data-driven workforce planning decisions.

The role acts as the functional leader for Workforce Planning Analytics and is responsible for ensuring workforce planning insights, forecasts, recommendations, and intelligence are aligned to organizational priorities and support effective workforce planning outcomes.

Role Accountabilities:

• Lead and develop the Workforce Planning Data Analyst team, providing direction, coaching, workload prioritization, and performance management.
• Oversee delivery of workforce forecasting, capacity and demand analysis, workforce intelligence, scenario modelling, and reporting activities to support strategic and operational workforce planning decisions.
• Establish and maintain workforce analytics standards, reporting methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes across the Workforce Planning function.
• Ensure workforce planning data integrity, reporting accuracy, and analytical consistency to enable trusted decision-making across the organization.
• Provide leadership-level workforce insights, recommendations, and evidence-based analysis to support workforce strategies, resource planning, and business performance.
• Oversee development and enhancement of workforce planning dashboards, scorecards, forecasting models, and workforce intelligence capabilities.
• Identify workforce risks, capability gaps, resource constraints, and workforce optimization opportunities, ensuring appropriate escalation and mitigation actions are implemented.
• Partner with Workforce Planning leaders, Finance, Talent Acquisition, People Teams, and Technology teams to align workforce analytics with business priorities and workforce planning objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, automation, and adoption of best practices across workforce analytics, reporting, and forecasting processes.
• Act as the accountable owner for workforce analytics delivery, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable insights are provided to leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive experience in workforce analytics, workforce planning, people analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytics discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading analytical teams and delivering workforce analytics services in a complex organizational environment.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning methodologies, forecasting techniques, workforce intelligence, and workforce optimization practices.
• Advanced capability in workforce forecasting, scenario modelling, statistical analysis, and workforce planning analytics.
• Proven experience developing and governing workforce planning dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders and workforce planning stakeholders.
• Experience translating complex workforce data into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Strong leadership capability with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing analytical talent.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Degree level education in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications in analytics, workforce planning, business intelligence, or data management would be advantageous.
