Description

Join a global Contract Resource Organization (CRO) where innovation meets purpose. At Worldwide Clinical Trials, we're driven by a shared commitment to improving lives through high-quality clinical research. Our teams are empowered to think creatively, take ownership, and deliver meaningful work that helps bring life-changing therapies to patients around the world.

With more than 4,000 professionals across the globe, we foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, growth is encouraged, and every contribution makes an impact. Whether you're building your career or bringing years of experience, you'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and help shape the future of clinical research.

Make an Impact as a Site Activation Specialist at Worldwide

Help turn clinical trial plans into active research sites by supporting the critical start-up and maintenance activities that keep studies moving forward. As a Site Activation Specialist, you’ll work closely with Site Activation Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, complete Site Regulatory Packages and support timely site activation.

You’ll coordinate directly with sites, contribute to feasibility and site identification, and support regulatory and ethics submissions, essential document review, informed consent documentation, and ongoing maintenance activities. Your attention to detail and proactive communication will help ensure activities are completed in line with GCP, applicable regulations, and study requirements.

This is an opportunity to apply your clinical research and regulatory knowledge in a collaborative role where you can build strong relationships with sites and contribute to quality delivery throughout the activation process.

Where You'll Work

This is a remote role open to candidates based in the UK. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.

No travel is required.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the collection, tracking, first review, and follow-up of site regulatory and essential documents to support timely site activation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Partner with sites, Site Activation Managers, and functional teams to prioritize activities, resolve document issues, and keep start-up milestones on track.
  • Support the development, adaptation, and review of country- and site-specific informed consent forms and translations in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Contribute to site identification and feasibility activities, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Site Feasibility Questionnaires, site qualification, and preliminary potential site lists.
  • Support country- and site-specific activation activities, including Regulatory Authority and Ethics Committee submissions under the guidance of the relevant teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with investigative sites and provide local follow-up on submission status and outstanding start-up or maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to support site contract and budget activities and gather country- and site-level intelligence.
  • Apply SOPs, ICH GCP, applicable regulations, EU requirements, and country or local regulatory requirements to maintain quality and compliance throughout your work.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: A minimum four-year college curriculum with a major concentration in medical, biological, physical, health, pharmacy, or another related science.
  • At least one year of clinical research experience, preferably within site activation or a regulatory-related function.
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
  • Good knowledge of ICH GCP, the EU Clinical Trials Directive, and other relevant clinical research conduct guidance.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research principles, local healthcare systems, and country-level cultural norms, with the ability to build relationships with investigators and key site personnel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and maintain quality and delivery timelines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and an aptitude for working with contemporary digital systems.
  • Proficiency in English; multilingualism is preferred.
