Help shape brighter futures for young people across Liverpool
Every young person deserves the opportunity to feel safe, connected and confident about their future.
At Change Grow Live, we believe that positive change happens when young people are supported by skilled professionals who see their strengths, understand their experiences and help them navigate life's challenges with compassion and expertise. As a Senior Complex Case Worker within our Liverpool Young People's Service, you'll play a leading role in supporting children and young people facing complex needs, while helping colleagues deliver exceptional, trauma-informed interventions that make a lasting difference.
This is an opportunity to combine advanced case management, safeguarding expertise, partnership working and practice leadership in a role where your knowledge and influence will directly impact young people's wellbeing and long-term outcomes.
Why this role matters
Young people rarely experience challenges in isolation. They may be navigating emotional wellbeing concerns, family difficulties, exploitation risks, neurodiversity, substance use, social pressures, school disengagement or other complex experiences.
As a Senior Complex Case Worker, you'll provide specialist support for young people with the most complex presentations, helping them build resilience, strengthen support networks and achieve meaningful progress towards their goals. You'll also act as a practice lead within the service, championing high-quality interventions, reflective practice and strong safeguarding standards.
What you'll be doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of young people with complex and high-risk needs.
- Complete holistic assessments and develop person-centred support plans that focus on strengths, aspirations and positive outcomes.
- Lead on complex safeguarding concerns, contributing expertise to risk management and multi-agency planning.
- Work closely with schools, children's social care, health services, youth justice, police and community partners to coordinate effective support.
- Provide guidance, coaching and informal leadership to colleagues across the service.
- Support audits, quality improvement activity and practice development initiatives.
- Contribute to service innovation, helping us continuously improve outcomes for young people.
- Promote participation, ensuring young people's voices influence both their individual support plans and wider service development.
- Maintain accurate records, data quality and outcome reporting in line with organisational and contractual requirements.
- Deputise for Team Leaders when required and support the ongoing development of volunteers, peer mentors and colleagues.
