Branch Manager - Woburn

McGill Hose is a leading distributor of hydraulic and industrial hoses and a custom hose assembly shop.  Family owned since 1962, we have locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.  Our East Longmeadow facility is AS9100D certified.

 We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Branch Manager to lead our Woburn, MA branch operations. As part of the McGill team, you will manage daily operations at our Woburn location.  We want a leader who takes ownership, supports every department, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service while driving sales growth.  The ideal candidate is a motivated team player who is a proactive problem solver, who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment, embraces accountability, and understands exceptional customer service is what sets McGill apart from the competition.  Customers for life is our focus.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

•        Lead, motivate, and develop branch employees through coaching, and accountability. Leading by example.

•         Create a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

•         Foster a positive work environment built on teamwork, maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethics.

Sales & Customer Service

•         Take ownership of branch sales, and growth opportunities by building strong customer relationships.

•         Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring timely responses, technical support, and reliable service.

•         Partner with Outside Sales and Business Development to support customer needs, quotes, orders, and new opportunities.

•         Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward solutions that strengthen long-term relationships.

Branch Operations

•         Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

•         Coordinate activities across front counter sales, purchasing, production, warehouse, and shipping/receiving.

•         Work in the production area building hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies as needed.

•         Identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and establish processes that improve workflow and reduce waste.

•         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Department Support

     The Branch Manager must understand the functions of each department and be willing to step in when needed.  Responsibilities may include:

•         Purchasing

•         Warehouse Operations

•         Front Counter Sales

•         Hose Production and Assembly

•         Shipping and Receiving

•         This position requires a hands-on approach and the flexibility to step into any role when needed to support the team and meet customer demands.

Communication & Continuous Improvement

•         Communicate regularly with senior leadership regarding branch performance, opportunities, challenges, and operational needs.

•         Encourage employees to identify improvement opportunities and participate in problem-solving.

•         Monitor branch performance and implement strategies to achieve company goals.

•         Ensure company policies and safety standards are consistently followed.

Qualifications

•         Previous management or supervisory experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, hydraulic hose, industrial hose, or a related industry preferred.

•         Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.

•         Proven sales and customer service experience.

•         Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

•         Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

•         Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn or perform hose assembly and production work.

•         Proficiency with computers and inventory/order management systems.

•         Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

•         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work.

•         Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

•         Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team while embodying passion and integrity.

•         Must possess valid driver’s license and good driving record.

•         Must be authorized to work in the United States.

•         Able to pass a pre-employment background check and/or drug screening as required.

•         Able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.

•         Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.

Training

·         Ongoing training on our products and how they apply to customers' businesses, McGill part numbers, our S.T.A.M.P.E.D. hose assembly method, NAHAD standards, thread identification, our ERP system and warehouse safety.

Pay & Benefits  

• Starting pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year based on experience
