ACTIA Electronics is currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the team in Romulus, Michigan. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments while maintaining inventory records and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating records.
- Update/confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and pricing.
- Supplying electronic components to the manufacturing line.
- Assisting in the receiving of goods into the warehouse.
- Prepare and package goods for shipment according to specifications.
- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer balances.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a strong background in math and communications skills.
- Must have the ability to successfully interface with various internal departments and business units at all company levels.
- Previous warehouse experience
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse and shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the weekly shipping schedule for all customers and ensure on-time shipments.
- Coordinate with Production and Packaging to ensure parts are ready for shipment.
- Process shipments through the ERP system and UPS/FedEx websites.
- Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and maintain accurate records for full traceability.
- Monitor carrier pickups and proactively communicate any delays or potential delivery issues.
- Respond to emails and maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support other warehouse activities as needed.
- Crosstrain across warehouse functions to provide flexible team support.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn ERP and shipping systems.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Previous shipping or warehouse experience preferred.
