Overview
As a Backend Engineer (Scala) in the Identity and Access Management (IDAM) squad, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services that govern access across METRO's global retail organization. Your work will directly secure and enable the digital identity of tens of thousands of customers and systems. You'll collaborate with the IDAM squad to implement core platform capabilities, work with PostgreSQL for data persistence, and deploy services on Kubernetes. The role requires 5+ years of experience in Java/Scala, knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably GCP), and security-minded application design.
