Sales Engineer

JOB PURPOSETo promote electronic security systems through conducting on-site surveys, producing specification documents and managing jobs through to engineering handover. Research sales opportunities through networking, using marketing and website data and relationship building.Conduct ‘onsite’ surveys and produce comprehensive specification documents.Update computerised data base once survey and then specification document is completed. Accurately price jobs and analyse profitability using job costing software. Follow up specification documents which have not been accepted through telephone or email contact.Liaise with the Sales Co-ordinator to clarify appointments and surveys/specifications completed. Manage client expectations and develop a lasting relationship.Identify ‘add on’ sales opportunities.Identify the physical resources needed for project completion.Ensure all information and equipment is needed by engineers is made available - site plans, drawings, project minutes and specific information e.g. operational challenges, health and safety implications.Ensure all relevant documentation is complete i.e. risk assessments, method statements, operation and maintenance manuals.Work with the Installation Manager to ensure job runs smoothly, as per specification, on time and within budget.
