Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welders for projects located in the Tulsa, OK area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) in accordance with API 5L and ASME B31.3 standards
- Select wire electrodes and granular flux combinations
- Conduct ultrasonic testing on steel plates and coils
- Edge milling for bevel preparation
- Form materials for LSAW and SSAW pipe production
- Continuous tack welding
- Perform submerged-arc welding passes on the inside and outside of pipe
- Monitor welding parameters such as voltage and amperage to ensure weld quality and penetration
