Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Facility: Ascension Saint Alexius

Department: Sterile Processing

Schedule: Night shift | Part-time | 12:00 am  - 6:00 am  4 days a week

Salary range: $19.58 - $26.09 per hour

What You Will Do

• Sterilize & Decontaminate: Process all instruments and equipment according to established protocols to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Inspect & Verify: Thoroughly examine instruments and containers to confirm they are functional, clean, and complete according to count sheets.
• Manage Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure all necessary instrument sets are available for case carts and identify any items requiring repair or replacement.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Must become certified Sterile Processing tech within one year.
