Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Procurement Specialist with experience in grid automation to be responsible for leading procurement activities across the Grid Automation business in Gulf Cluster. The role focuses on procurement execution, purchase order management, delivery follow-up, supplier performance, commercial compliance, and reporting discipline to ensure effective project and operational support.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for materials, components, and services required for operations and project execution in Gulf Cluster.
• Ensure timely procurement execution aligned with project schedules, operational requirements, and business priorities.
• Coordinate closely with planning, logistics, engineering, project management, quality, manufacturing, and finance teams to support execution needs.
• Monitor supplier execution performance related to delivery commitments, responsiveness, and issue resolution, and drive corrective follow-up where needed.
• Ensure procurement activities are carried out in compliance with agreed commercial terms, company policies, internal controls, and process requirements.
• Work in coordination with Sourcing Management on supplier evaluation and selection.
• Identify, track, and escalate procurement risks including delayed deliveries, material shortages, invoice issues, and supply execution gaps.
• Use SAP/ERP systems extensively for procurement transactions, order tracking, goods receipt follow-up, invoice coordination, reporting, and process control.
• Support continuous improvement in procurement execution, reporting quality, lead time management, and operational efficiency.
• Act as a key point of contact for procurement escalations affecting operations and project delivery in Gulf Cluster.
• Arrange and circulate periodic reporting on open purchase orders, including order status, pending deliveries, overdue items, and critical supply risks.
• Monitor and report supplier invoice status, including pending invoices, invoice discrepancies, blocked invoices, and follow-up actions required for resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience of procurement management within an industrial, electrical, manufacturing, project, or technology-driven environment.
• Mandatory experience working in Gulf countries, with strong understanding of regional procurement practices and supplier environments.
• Mandatory extensive and strong hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems.
• Strong experience in preparing procurement reports and managing data visibility for operational and project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• This role requires 20% travel within the region.
