Money Mart is pleased to invite applications for our District Manager Development Program.
This internal development program is designed for high-performing retail leaders who are interested in expanding their leadership capabilities and preparing for future District Manager opportunities. Participants will gain greater exposure to multi-unit operations, financial performance, talent management, business development, compliance and strategic leadership.
Participation in the program is a development opportunity and does not guarantee placement in a District Manager position. However, it will provide selected employees with valuable experience, feedback and preparation for future leadership opportunities.
About the District Manager Role
District Managers oversee the performance and operations of approximately 10–20 retail locations. They are accountable for delivering strong business results while building capable teams, maintaining operational standards, protecting the business and providing an exceptional customer experience.
The role includes responsibility for sales performance, profitability, recruitment, talent development, coaching, training, compliance and succession planning.
Program Development Areas
Selected participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and capabilities in the following areas:
- Leading and supporting multiple retail locations
- Translating company strategies into district-level action plans
- Reviewing business results and identifying performance opportunities
- Managing revenue, labor, expenses and other controllable costs
- Coaching and developing Branch Managers
- Managing performance and having effective accountability conversations
- Building talent pipelines and succession plans
- Planning staffing needs and aligning talent with business priorities
- Conducting store visits and operational audits
- Supporting compliance, security and risk-management practices
- Developing local business relationships and growth opportunities
- Communicating effectively across stores, Retail Leadership and support functions
- Leading teams through change and competing priorities

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should have:
- Leadership experience within a customer-facing, targeted sales environment
- A demonstrated ability to coach others and achieve results through a team
- Strong sales, operational and financial-management capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting more than one location or taking on broader regional responsibilities is considered an asset
- Experience in consumer lending or financial services is considered an asset
- Post Secondary Education or equivalent work experience is preferred
