Contract: Casual

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour

We’re looking for a Receptionist to join the Leisure Focus team and play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for our customers.

To provide a welcoming, efficient and professional reception service to all visitors, members, and staff at the leisure centre, ensuring smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations.

● Greet all customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide excellent customer service at all times 

● Handle enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate information about facilities, classes, memberships, and bookings

● Process memberships, bookings, payments, and cancellations using the centre’s booking system 

● Manage the reception desk, ensuring it is tidy, organised, and well-stocked with information leaflets 

● Deal with customer queries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary 

● Support the daily opening and closing procedures of the reception area 

● Maintain accurate records of transactions, bookings, and customer interactions 

● Promote leisure centre services, activities, and events to customers 

● Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and report any concerns 

● Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required .

● Strong customer service and communication skills 

● Friendly, approachable, and professional manner

● Basic IT skills and ability to learn booking systems

● Ability to work well in a busy environment

● Reliability and punctuality 

● This is a casual role with variable hours depending on business needs 

● Training will be provided on systems and procedures 

● Uniform may be required depending on the centre
