Description

Louisville Assembly Plant is undergoing a historic transformation — and there's never been a better time to join this energized team. As the future home of the Ford Fathom™, we are launching the first truck built on Ford's Universal Electric Vehicle platform, and we're looking for talented people to help lead the way.

The Cycle Count Supervisor is responsible for leading the cycle counting program to ensure inventory accuracy across the facility. This role oversees a team of cycle count checkers, develops and manages count schedules, investigates and resolves discrepancies, and partners with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity in the inventory management system. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on leadership to drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and process efficiency.

  • Supervise, train, and schedule cycle count checkers to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly count targets are met within the Production Inventory Management System
  • Develop and maintain cycle count schedules based on ABC classification, inventory value, and business risk
  • Analyze inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans
  • Reconcile physical counts against system records (WMS/ERP) and adjust inventory as needed following approval protocols
  • Partner with Warehouse/Material Handling operations, Production Control, Supply Chain Management, Plant Inventory Analyst, Plant Internal Control, Manufacturing, Quality, PPM, IMG Obsolescence, and Finance teams to resolve variances and improve processes
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy rate, count completion rate, and shrinkage
  • Lead or support annual/periodic physical inventory audits
  • Ensure compliance with the Production Inventory Management System, company policies, safety standards, and audit/regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce recurring errors and increase counting efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation and generate regular inventory reports for leadership review
  • Ensure, avoid, and minimize obsolescence of parts and model-year run-out parts
  • Ensure and maintain accurate record balances so enough material is available to support model year buildouts

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Business, or related field preferred or 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management

Even better, you may have...

  • APICS/ASCM certification: CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) a plus
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with RF scanning and barcode inventory systems

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
