Description
At KLH Engineers, our team of engineers, surveyors, and drafters works on projects that ensure safe drinking water gets where it needs to go, wastewater is properly treated, and stormwater stays under control. Since 1982, we’ve partnered with numerous municipal clients across Pennsylvania, delivering top-notch services in water, wastewater, stormwater, SCADA, and general municipal engineering. We bring creativity, technical excellence, and practicality to every project, ensuring our engineering solutions not only work but also make life a little easier for everyone.
We’re currently looking for a SCADA Operations Coordinator to join our team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This is a newly created position within our SCADA department and offers a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and keeping a lot of moving pieces on track. You’ll work closely with our SCADA engineers, vendors, panel suppliers, and other KLH disciplines while helping build the processes and systems that will support a growing department.
You don’t need to be a SCADA expert to be successful in this role. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, motivated, resourceful, and willing to learn. If you’re the type of person who can see what needs to be done, figure out how to organize it, and make it happen, this could be a great fit.

- Coordinate purchasing and receiving of SCADA equipment, materials, and supplies while tracking material orders, costs, inventory, and budgets.
- Coordinate with panel suppliers and vendors to track status, deliveries, pricing, and project schedules.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding orders, vendor commitments, and action items to keep projects and department activities moving forward.
- Support TOSI and iNet communication platforms, including billing, invoicing, pricing, contracts, and cost control.
- Coordinate incoming field service requests and help develop an organized process for routing and tracking service calls.
- Assist with project closeout, including tracking final documentation and ensuring redlined drawings are completed and properly filed.
- Develop, organize, and maintain SOPs and other department documentation.
- Work with SCADA engineers and other KLH disciplines to improve communication, organization, and workflow.
- Help identify and implement new tools, software, and processes as the department continues to grow.

- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with engineers, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and get things done.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to processes that are still being developed.

- We’re big enough to tackle complex, high-impact projects in-house, but small enough that your ideas won’t get lost in the shuffle.
- You’ll work alongside a smart, collaborative, and genuinely supportive team of engineers and technical professionals.
- We’ll give you the training and support you need to learn the SCADA side of the business while allowing you to bring your own ideas and organizational strengths to the role.
- You’ll have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities and grow with the department as it continues to expand.
- We believe in investing in our people through mentorship, continued learning, and opportunities for growth.
