About the Role:
The IBM OS Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, coding, and enhancing software components that integrate across systems and applications. The role works within an Agile environment to deliver scalable, efficient solutions aligned with business requirements, while collaborating across teams and continuously improving software functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an SME, collaborating with and managing the team to deliver project objectives.
- Take responsibility for team-level technical decisions and contribute to key decisions across multiple teams.
- Provide solutions to technical challenges within the immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination to ensure project milestones are met.
- Mentor and support team members through knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project quality and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems and system management.
- Experience in system performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline system administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex system issues.
- Proficient in managing system security and compliance standards.
