Sr. Leader, Pathfinding & Strategy – Technology and Product Group (ITP)
Role Overview:
Lead the ITP Pathfinding and Strategy team in developing and executing advanced, full-stack pathfinding and strategies that span all memory technologies and product lines. This role requires synthesizing technical, business, and ecosystem insights to identify and pursue high-impact opportunities for innovation and disruption. Success depends on building strong partnerships across Micron’s engineering teams, business units, corporate strategy, and manufacturing organizations, as well as with key customers, start-ups, and government research partners. As a pivotal leader within Micron’s engineering organization, you will focus technical resources on a pipeline of disruptive solutions, directly influencing the company’s strategic direction and industry leadership. Inspire and empower a highly technical, senior team to expand their capabilities, drive engagement, and deliver breakthrough innovations that define the future of memory technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute end-to-end pathfinding vision leveraging process technology, component design, systems pathfinding to develop and de-risk innovations for Micron’s product portfolio
- Maintain a deep, collaborative relationship with ITP’s engineering execution teams to facilitate pathfinding technology transfer for product intercept
- Develop and implement ITP’s technical strategy that leverages Micron’s strengths and address future growth opportunities in memory and storage.
- Collaborate with internal business units, corporate strategy, and manufacturing to align and advocate for ITP’s strategic direction.
- Build and nurture relationships with key customers, start-ups, universities and government research partners to inform and shape future pathfinding and strategy.
- Guide a highly technical, senior team to solve the memory industry’s most critical problems, drive engagement and develop the next generation of technical talent.
- Focus technical resources on solutions that address customer and ecosystem challenges for competitive advantage.
- Applying AI to increase efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology, product development, or systems engineering with a focus on memory and storage
- Proven track record in delivering innovation, design thinking, and leveraging technology for competitive advantage.
- Strong background in developing and executing technology strategies across multiple product lines.
- Experience leading large, diverse technical teams and driving organizational change.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-year technical and strategic initiatives and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep technical expertise in memory, storage, or semiconductor technologies.
- Strategic vision and ability to translate business goals into actionable technology roadmaps.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with change management, program/project management methodologies, and organizational development.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with customers, start-ups, universities, and government research partners.
