This position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline related to Knowledge Management (KM) for the Automation business area. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

This role contributes to the Automation business area in Chile.
Your main responsibilities:
Develop, configure, test, and support Knowledge Manager solutions (PIMS, MES & LIMS) and industrial system integrations.
Develop reports, dashboards, data models, scripts, queries, and database solutions, including troubleshooting and performance analysis.
Participate in system integration, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and customer support activities.
Provide on-site support at customer locations across Chile, including testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and projects with different shift systems.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, prepare technical documentation, and support sales and proposal activities when required, including technical presentations to customers.
Support international projects remotely or through travel, while contributing to standardization, continuous improvement, mentoring, and internal knowledge development.
Mandatory Requirements:
Engineering background from the Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Automation & Control, Electrical, or Electronic fields.
Experience within the mining, pulp & paper or cement industries is highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Knowledge Manager solutions (PIMS, MES & LIMS), industrial information management, production reporting, or similar industrial digital solutions.
Hands-on experience with Knowledge Manager platforms, industrial databases, data integration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Strong technical knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data interfaces, and integration with industrial automation systems.
Experience supporting industrial projects, with willingness to work at customer sites as required.
Advanced or fluent English level, as well as fluent Spanish level
Desirable Requirements
Experience with process industries: mining, metals, cement preferred
Knowledge of ABB platforms, 800xA, DCS/PLC systems, OPC, historians, and industrial databases.
Knowledge of LIMS, ERP/SAP interfaces, production reporting, material balance, process data reconciliation, or quality data management.
Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Python, C#, VBA, JavaScript, or similar.
Experience in the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support for industrial software solutions.
Experience in mining, metals, cement, pulp and paper, chemicals, or other process industries.
