Description

Do you want to help companies transform how they manage their products — from ideation through design, development and launch?

Do you have hands-on experience with PLM platforms and a strong grasp of product development processes? Are you energised by working closely with clients to design and deploy solutions that make a tangible difference to how products are created and managed?

Your job

As a PLM Functional Consultant within our Supply Chain & Engineering practice, you will support and lead PLM deployment and transformation projects at Belgian and international clients. You will work across industries including Consumer Goods, Retail, Industrial Equipment and Pharma & Life Sciences — contributing to projects that span process design, platform deployment and change management.

Examples of projects you can work on:

  • PLM deployment: support the end-to-end deployment of a PLM platform at a consumer goods or manufacturing client — from requirements gathering and process design through configuration, testing and go-live
  • BOM and product data management: help a client define and implement structured BOM processes, engineering change workflows and product data governance across their organisation
  • PLM maturity assessment: conduct a PLM maturity assessment for a client, identify gaps in their current product data management approach and define a prioritised improvement roadmap
  • Process design and optimisation: analyse current product development and engineering change processes, design improved future-state workflows and translate them into PLM system configurations
  • User training and adoption: develop training content and support end-user adoption of new PLM processes and tools across engineering, product and commercial teams

In this role you will:

  • Support requirements gathering workshops and process design sessions with client teams
  • Analyse and map current product development and engineering processes
  • Contribute to functional solution design, configuration and testing of PLM platforms
  • Own user stories and functional specifications across one or more PLM workstreams
  • Support data migration activities including data mapping, cleansing and validation
  • Communicate PLM concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Contribute to proposal development and internal knowledge sharing
  • Work in international project teams, collaborating with Accenture's global Engineering and PLM network

  • Hands-on experience with at least one PLM platform (Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, SAP PLM, PTC Windchill, or a consumer goods-focused PLM platform)
  • Solid understanding of product lifecycle and engineering processes: BOM management, engineering change, data governance, lifecycle workflows
  • Experience or strong interest in Consumer Goods or Retail industry is a plus — understanding of product ranging, specification management or recipe/formulation management is an asset
  • Ability to analyse and map business processes and translate them into system requirements
  • Exposure to ERP systems, master data management or data migration tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, client-first mindset
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Fluent in French and/or Dutch, both spoken and written

Nice to have

  • Experience or strong interest in Consumer Goods or Retail industry — understanding of product ranging, specification management or recipe/formulation management
  • Exposure to ERP systems, master data management or data migration tools
  • Interest in AI or GenAI applications in product development or engineering contexts
