Description

Join the team rewriting the rules in private markets.

Moonfare delivers what few others can: the highly sought-after funds and hidden-gem investments that go beyond what most private banks offer. Every opportunity is subjected to a ruthless vetting process; the bar is unforgivingly high. The result? Institutional-quality portfolios for investors who demand more.

Our team combines finance veterans with talent from tech, consulting, law and industries you’d never expect. Headquartered in Berlin, we operate from eight offices across Europe, the US and Asia.

If you're ready to build what's next in private markets, let's talk.

US Fund Operations Intern

Moonfare is experiencing exceptional growth in the North American market. Our Operations Team plays a central role in enabling this success by keeping our funds running smoothly, supporting regulatory compliance, and partnering closely with teams across the business to open up private markets to US investors.

Moonfare US is currently a small, close-knit team of five, with each member playing a hands-on role in the day-to-day success of the business. As the platform grows and expands its range of offerings in the US market, the team is expected to grow too. As our Fund Operations Intern, you'll report to our Fund Operations Associate and work day-to-day with colleagues in the US and our Luxembourg-based Global Fund teams.

In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of our US-domiciled private equity feeder funds (primarily Delaware Limited Partnerships). You'll get broad, hands-on exposure to how private markets funds are set up, administered and reported on, and you'll learn directly from experienced fund professionals.

  • Fund Lifecycle Support: Help with operational tasks across the fund lifecycle, including fund launches, closings, capital calls and distributions, and keep fund data, trackers and checklists accurate and up to date.
  • General Partner Subscriptions: Support the review of subscription documents and general partner eligibility, helping coordinate KYC/AML checks with internal teams and service providers.
  • Service Provider Coordination: Work with fund administrators, auditors and tax advisors on reconciliations, investor statements, audits and K-1 preparation, following up on open items so deadlines are met.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Investor Relations, Legal and the Luxembourg-based fund teams to answer operational questions and make sure US investors have a smooth experience.
  • Process Improvement: Document existing processes, spot manual work that could be simplified or automated, and help build templates and tools that scale as the US business grows.
