Purpose of the role
- Shares responsibility for implementing the chain’s concept and providing customer service at the store
- The work is guided by the chain’s business concept and operating practices, as well as the cooperative’s strategy and values
- The salesperson carries out all store duties and works all types of shifts in accordance with instructions and agreed ways of working

- Promotes cooperation with other team members through their own actions and contributes to creating a positive atmosphere
- Participates in onboarding
- Maintains and shares their knowledge and skills with the entire team, helping and encouraging colleagues to succeed

- Takes responsibility for their part in internal workplace communication, ensures that information is shared effectively, and actively pays attention to the store’s communication channels
- Takes responsibility for occupational safety and their own ergonomic working practices
Customers
- Helps ensure that the store delivers on its customer promises and operates in accordance with the chain’s concept and jointly agreed service standards
- Understands the fundamentals of co-op membership and the cooperative business model
- Provides friendly and customer-oriented service
- Serves and treats all customers equally
- Answers customers’ questions about products and services and refers them to the appropriate person or team when necessary
- Listens to customers and handles feedback and complaints received during customer service interactions in accordance with agreed procedures, seeking assistance when needed
Process
- Contributes to achieving sales by ensuring positive customer interactions and maintaining the store’s commercial presentation
- Works according to shift rosters, task cards, and other instructions
- Has a strong understanding of the store’s core processes
- Is able to use the required systems
- Follows instructions to ensure that the ordering system operates correctly (stock balance management) and that the chain’s concept is implemented properly
- Openly shares ideas for improvement, such as identifying wastage and suggesting ways to eliminate it
Finance
- Ensures product availability by stocking shelves efficiently and to a high-quality standard and maintaining accurate stock balances in accordance with instructions
- Maintains high standards of product quality and freshness, as well as store cleanliness
- Understands key performance indicators and how their own actions can influence them
- Takes action to prevent product loss and wastage
- Helps safeguard the company’s property and assets
