Pest Control Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Pest Control Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £21.83 - £28.80 per hour

Summary:

An experienced Pest Control Officer is required to deliver statutory pest control services across Westminster, ensuring the borough is kept free from rats, mice and other vermin. The role involves inspections, treatments, enforcement, casework and maintaining accurate compliance records.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out pest control surveys, inspections and treatments following complaints and service requests.
• Advise residents, complainants and staff on appropriate treatments and preventative measures.
• Coordinate and deliver block treatment and sewer baiting programmes.
• Carry out enforcement under the Public Health Act 1936 and Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949.
• Prepare reports covering investigations, actions and site visits.

Qualifications:

• RIPHH Level 3 in Pest Control.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven operational pest control experience.
• Valid driving licence.
• Knowledge of relevant pest control legislation and safe working practices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage workloads and coordinate activities.
• Experience maintaining accurate written and computerised records.
