Cementing Field Engineer

We're seeking a Cementing Field Engineer with proven experience in cementing operations to support field activities while developing toward a future Project Engineer role through structured training, mentoring, and exposure to customer-facing project management responsibilities.

In this role, the professional will lead safe and efficient cementing operations, engage directly with customers, and gain experience in project planning and execution, technical support, risk assessment and mitigation, resource planning and inventory management, performance optimization, financial and commercial metrics, service delivery management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities & Activities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute cementing operations, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to operational and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support during job preparation, execution, and post-job evaluation.
• Review operational programs, job designs, procedures, and technical requirements prior to execution.
• Monitor cementing operations in real time, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate technical and operational solutions.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, operational procedures, and service quality requirements.
• Conduct and participate in pre-job meetings, risk assessments, and operational reviews, identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Serve as a key technical interface with customers during field operations, maintaining effective communication and building strong customer relationships.
• Support the investigation of operational issues, service quality events, and non-conformities, contributing to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate job documentation, operational reports, technical evaluations, and post-job performance reviews.
• Participate in project planning and execution, including schedules, operational requirements, resource allocation, and coordination across teams.
• Support resource planning and inventory management, helping ensure the availability of personnel, equipment, materials, and other resources required for operations.
• Analyze operational and service delivery performance to identify opportunities for efficiency, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Develop an understanding of project financial and commercial performance, including cost management, service delivery metrics, and other key business indicators.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, logistics, commercial, and other functions to ensure effective end-to-end project execution.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve processes and service quality.
• Mentor and support field personnel when appropriate, promoting operational excellence, teamwork, and a strong safety culture.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with professional registration CREA active.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Field Engineer in cementing operations.
• Strong operational and technical understanding of cementing services.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ambition to develop into a project leadership role.
• Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
• Advanced English, Fluent Portuguese
• Legal documentation to live and work in Brazil
