Trailer Equipment is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse & Parts Inventory Specialist to join our growing team in Westland, Michigan. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving and shipping parts, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring customers receive the right products on time. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Track and maintain accurate inventory levels for parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct and assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Restock warehouse inventory according to established procedures and inventory guidelines.
  • Utilize barcode scanners and inventory management systems to receive and track products.

Receiving & Shipping

  • Unload inbound freight and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Sort, count, package, and prepare materials for shipment.
  • Verify inbound shipments and customer orders using barcode scanning technology.
  • Complete receiving and shipping documentation accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and secure pallets for shipment, including balancing, labeling, and shrink-wrapping materials.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and other departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.

Warehouse Operations

  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
  • Support overall warehouse operations and assist team members as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Two or more years of warehouse, inventory control, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts (Hi-Lo) and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems and barcode scanning technology.
