Description
The Opportunity:
Work as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), responsible for monitoring and overseeing the construction activities at a data center facility to ensure compliance with security protocols, construction standards, and project specifications. Use expertise of ICD-705 security procedures and the level of security required in various parts of each facility under construction or renovation. Work closely with the construction team, security personnel, and project managers to maintain the integrity and security of the site throughout the construction process. Read and analyze designs and blueprints, recognize the architect’s intended use, and analyze designs and structural complexities intended to mask an ulterior purpose not wanted by the architect. Conduct continuous surveillance of the construction site to ensure adherence to security protocols and construction standards. Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry. Verify that construction activities comply with established plans, specifications, and security requirements. Identify and report any security breaches, safety violations, or non-compliance issues to the appropriate authorities. Maintain detailed logs and records of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Coordinate with construction managers, security personnel, and other stakeholders to address and resolve any security or compliance issues. Perform regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that all work meets quality and security standards. Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and other parties on the status of construction activities and any identified issues. Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with safety protocols.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Security Technician (CST), Facility Security Officer, or Special Security Officer
- Experience in construction of classified areas in accordance with ICD 705 and DCSA requirements
- Experience developing, revising, and working with Construction Security Plans (CSP) in accordance with risk management and accreditation requirements
- Experience in construction surveillance or security and using surveillance equipment and technology
- Knowledge of security protocols and construction site safety best practices
- Ability to be on call after hours for security issues
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Construction Surveillance Technician Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experienced managing schedule and workload of other CSTs or Cleared Guards
- Knowledge of DoW Secure Facilities Construction
- Ability to clearly communicate security-related topics to senior leaders
- Possession of excellent detailed organizational and record-keeping skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus
- Site Security Manager Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
