We are seeking an organized, energetic, and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources.
Working closely with the Human Resources Manager and facility leadership, the HR Assistant plays an important role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee services, HR operations, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement.

What You’ll Do
- Manage candidates through the applicant tracking system and all online hiring systems ....from the point of application through the new hire onboarding process.
- Assist w/bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Perform various functions in the HRIS system.
- Perform clerical duties such as creating reports and letters, filing documents.
- Answer inquiries from staff on a variety of human resources issues.
- Perform all pre-hire steps to include license checks, background screens and orders uniforms and ID badges.
- Assist w/New Hire Orientations.
- Involvement with a variety employee recognition and retention activities.
- Serve as a friendly and professional resource for employees with general HR questions.
- Assist with general Business Office duties as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of Human Resources experience, preferably within healthcare or another highly regulated environment.
- Recruitment experience required, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and HR regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, paid/family leave requirements, and OSHA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Previous experience working with HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems such as ADP and/or UKG.
- Experience utilizing an electronic Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and online recruitment platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with employees, candidates, leaders, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when an issue requires escalation.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and accuracy when handling sensitive employee information.
