GoRescue, a Safe Life US affiliate, is seeking a driven, personable, and organized Regional Lifesaving Specialist (RLS) to join our growing team in the Birmingham, AL area! About the Role

The Regional Lifesaving Specialist delivers training in all three curriculums (AHA, ARC, HSI). You'll teach courses and use a company-assigned vehicle to reach client sites across the region. You'll work closely with the Training Services Coordinator, who builds your training schedule.

This full-time, hourly role plays an integral part in the daily operational efficiency of GoRescue. You'll fulfill a variety of onsite and open enrollment courses for our clients, work on special projects, and attend meetings and events as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all required course paperwork within required timelines.
  • Complete administrative work as assigned.
  • Assist with and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Attend continuing education, company training, meetings, and events as assigned.
  • Mentor other instructors and serve as a brand ambassador.
  • Maintain all assigned equipment and supplies in excellent working order.
  • Keep the company-assigned vehicle clean, well maintained, and in safe working order.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and walk distances of up to 500 yards, carry equipment and supplies of up to 50 pounds, and safely maneuver to complete job tasks without assistance.
  • Current AHA, ARC, and/or HSI Instructor certification (required).
  • Experience teaching or assisting with at least twelve (12) CPR courses in the last year (preferred).
  • Willing and able to travel around the region as needed on short notice.
  • Willing and able to remain overnight (company-paid hotels) as needed on short notice. This is rare, typically once a month or less.
  • Able to work any day or time, in the office or on the road as needed by the company, Monday through Friday.
  • Safe driving history for the last three years.
