Accountable for leading a global team of demand management professionals and understanding all sources of demand for their line of business globally. They lead the demand management process for Integrated Business Planning. They will develop and manage an accurate demand forecast at the appropriate levels, horizons and intervals for their business.  The Demand Manager is accountable for monitoring the performance of the demand forecasting process and continually improving bias and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall demand management process and forecast value add improvement.​

• Manage the activities, performance, development, and capabilities of their demand team. Actively part of the onboarding and development of the demand team. ​

• Championing use of the corporately approved forecasting tools.​

• Work with the Demand Analyst to create and maintain differentiated forecast strategy for their LOB.   ​

• Accountable for the long-term demand forecast (5-yearplan) jointly with commercial, marketing, product management and supply chain​

• Accountable for identification of all sources of demand in their LOB to support business planning, IBP and supply planning.​

• Understand market environment, trends, and leading indicators, and their impact on the demand plans for the business ​

• Ensure resources are available and processes are in place to provide updates to the multi-view forecasting process.  ​

• Accountable for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the assumptions supporting the rolling 0-24 month customer requested (RDD), unconstrained Consensus Final Forecast. ​

• With the demand planner, responsible for incorporating the demand inputs (ie sales, stats, etc) and assumptions as appropriate to ensure the best possible forecast.​

• Ensuring that product lifecycle forecasts are incorporated into the demand plan.​

• Approve Consensus Final Forecast for 0-24 months​

• Identify alternate demand scenarios ​

• Accountable for making sure all developed business scenarios (demand scenarios) are available in the system for Supply Chain evaluation​

• Lead discussion in demand review step of IBP​

• In collaboration with Supply understand and align on the balanced plan. ​

• In collaboration with the Customer Service Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Sales Manager manage compliance of rules and policies to fulfill demand. ​

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline​

• 7 to 10 years experience​ in Supply Chain, Demand, Product Management or Commercial Roles

• IBF Certified (can be obtained in role)

• ASCM CPIM or CSCP (can be obtained in role)
