The Officer, Americas Strategy and Insights Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical support to enable continuous monitoring of developments across both the North American asset management industry and the broader State Street Investment Management business. This role will be key to translating those developments into clear, timely insights that ultimately help support strategic decision-making and context required to shape firm-wide priorities. This is a collaborative role suited to those who are eager to build their industry knowledge, strengthen their analytical skills, and learn how to serve as a strategic partner to key areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the monitoring and summary of key trends and developments occurring across the North American asset management landscape, including, but not limited to, product innovation, competitive positioning as well as client and advisor behavior
- Assist with the preparation of clear, concise updates and presentation materials to feed into analysis provided to key business partners and senior leadership, highlighting relevant developments and potential implications for priorities
- Analyze proprietary and third party data alongside industry research to help identify competitive themes, growth opportunities, and shifts in client demand
- Contribute to the evaluation of strategic global growth initiatives aligned with senior leadership priorities, including market sizing and target setting exercises, M&A activity, minority investments, and other inorganic growth opportunities
- Respond to ad-hoc, time-sensitive research and insight requests from leadership and distribution partners, working with broader Global Markets Intelligence team to provide accurate, well-structured outputs
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, research, distribution support, business analysis, or a related field
- Experience in asset management, wealth management, or financial services preferred
- General familiarity with asset management products, client segments, and common industry research sources is helpful, but is not required
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize information and communicate key takeaways clearly
- Strong written and presentation skills, with an interest in developing leadership-ready narratives and recommendations
- Intellectual curiosity, commercial orientation, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively across teams, and build productive relationships with colleagues.
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $113,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
