Job Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi-trailers and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. This role supports customers and internal teams by delivering timely, high-quality mechanical, electrical, and structural repairs, while maintaining accurate service documentation and upholding company standards for safety and workmanship.
*Safety bonuses are available immediately.
*Productivity and efficiency bonuses begin after 90 days.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience as a mechanical or service technician, within the trailer, heavy equipment, or automotive industries.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair issues across a range of trailer types and configurations.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems commonly used in dump trailers, tilt decks, and utility equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and parts schematics.
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a service team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple repairs simultaneously.
- Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for work order entry and parts lookup.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods; must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 lbs unassisted on a regular basis.
- Work Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical equipment, and environments typical of a trailer service and repair facility.
