Convenience Site Attendant (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Part-Time Convenience Site Attendant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Frederick County residents. In this role, you will assist the public with proper waste disposal at the Landfill Citizen Convenience Center, monitor site usage, and help keep the facility clean and orderly.As a Convenience Site Attendant, you will:

• Operate the trash compactor in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Direct traffic flow at the convenience site and assist waste haulers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor refuse and recycling collection areas and enforce County regulations regarding proper waste disposal.
• Identify, discourage, and report illegal dumping and unauthorized use by out-of-County residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of convenience site and grounds, including litter control and raking as required.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment and report repair needs.
• Cooperate with the public and provide courteous and professional customer service, including answering questions and providing assistance.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
  
• Previous experience in manual labor, customer service, or related work is preferred.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.
